Julia West House

Client: Walsh Construction
Scope of Work: CFA Shafts
Project Year: 2024

The Julia West House is an exciting 12-story timber mass high rise project in the heart of downtown Portland. When completed, it will provide 90-units of critical housing assistance for Portland seniors facing housing insecurity.

Lead by the team at Walsh Construction, and designed by Holst, this project maximized the footprint of the building on a difficult site. For this project, our scope of work includes soldier piles, shoring, tiebacks as well as CFA shafts to support the tower crane during construction.

Great communication, careful movements and attention to detail are keys to success when working in tight quarters with large equipment. Hats off to our crew for the excellent work on site – excavation and shoring to begin next week!
