Building the future
Press Blocks
The Project
This ambitious project, first began in 2017, completely reimagined the Goose Hollow neighborhood to create a vibrant and modern community. Located at the former site of the Oregonian, it required extensive collaboration between engineers, architects and construction crews to complete.
The Solution
With over 35,000sq/ft of lagging, this project required strategic thinking to coordinate the benching, positioning of equipment and construction process. This scope included 124 solider piles, 523 tiebacks and an aggressive target of 3,500sq/ft of lagging per week.
The Result
The successful completion of this project has allowed construction of the full block to move forward. The completed project will open a new, vibrant, and dynamic community to Portland with enhanced access and a thriving live/work community.
