Kapalama Wharf & Dredging Project
Honolulu, HI
HDOT Harbors’ Kapālama Container Terminal Phase 2 is Kiewit Infrastructure West’s waterside package at Piers 40–43, covering 18.5 acres of terminal land, approximately 1,860 feet of new berthing, and dredging and widening of adjacent harbor areas.
Scope of Work
Working for Kiewit Infrastructure West, Pacific Foundation predrilled 18- and 36-inch holes around existing utilities before performing cutter soil mixing and jet grouting with Bauer BG33/BG40 rigs and a BCM10 cutter mixer. The predrilling addressed coral and sandstone around existing reinforcing cages and pile-wall elements before production mixing and grouting.
