Job Title: Driller / Equipment Operator (Union)

Position Overview

- As a Driller / Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for safely and effectively operating drilling equipment on job sites. Candidate must have experience running Bauer or similar vertical drill rigs. You will collaborate closely with supervisors, project managers, and crew members to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Operation:
- Operate Bauer or similar vertical drilling rigs
- Perform daily inspections, routine maintenance, and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimum performance.
- Site Coordination:
- Work closely with site supervisors and other crew members to organize workflow and maintain efficient production rates.
- Follow project plans and specifications to achieve drilling objectives.
- Safety Compliance:
- Strictly adhere to company and regulatory safety protocols (OSHA and local regulations).
- Participate in daily safety meetings and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Record drilling parameters, production data, and daily progress reports.
- Communicate any equipment or site issues to management promptly.
- Team Collaboration:
- Assist in training junior operators or laborers on safe and efficient drilling techniques.
- Foster a positive work environment aligned with Pacific Foundation’s values and standards.
Qualifications
- Drilling Experience: Kelly Drilling, CFA Operations, Ground Improvement (Cutter, Soil Mix, Jet Grouting) is a must
- Union Membership: Must be a current IUOE Union member in good standing.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience operating Bauer or comparable large-diameter vertical drilling rigs
- Technical Skills: Demonstrated ability to read and interpret project plans, drilling parameters, and specifications.
- Mechanical Aptitude: A basic understanding of equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs is a plus.
- Safety Focus: Commitment to upholding rigorous safety standards at all times.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to work in various weather conditions and lift/carry heavy objects as necessary.
