ITD 6th Street Bridge

Client: Apollo, Inc
Scope of Work: Drilled Pipe Piles
Project Year: 2024

The ITD 6th Street Bridge project in Wallace, Idaho, aims to replace the aging bridge over the South Fork Coeur d’Alene River, providing improved access to Nine-Mile Canyon and Dobson Pass. The $3.7 million project, led by Apollo General Contracting and designed by HMH Engineering, is funded by federal grants and local highway programs. Construction will last approximately 167 days, keeping the temporary bridge in use throughout. The project includes safety measures for pedestrians and aims to minimize disruptions to local events and traffic.

Pacific Foundation’s work on the ITD 6th Street Bridge involves installing drilled pipe piles to support the new structure. The team faced low overhead challenges due to the site’s constraints, requiring specialized equipment to operate within height limitations while ensuring accurate installation. For this, we utilized a Commacchio MC22 to complete the installation.
